Hey Shelly, Thanks for the comment. I am new to the site but trying to learn as much as I can about this shale stuff. Merry Christmas and have a Blessed New Year!
ho ho ho merry christmas. Not sure where your property is but got news last night that the well nearest us is blowing a huge blue flame which is supposed to be good. Hope santa doesnt catch fire while flying over on his way to our house. haha
Shelley, We are doing fine down in Angleton. We got a little snow last night! Work has gotten crazy of late. The company I work for laid off 4000 people for the next three weeks. I get to stay & try to keep things afloat with limited labor resources. In this economic downturn, many folks are having a rough go of it. We have been truly blessed! Hopefully, 2009 will bring with it a more stable economy. Merry Christmas to you & yours! Tim
Shelley,
Thanks for your offer of assistance. Prayerfully everything will pick up after the first of the year and I will be able to fully research the situation.
Hey Shelley,
I haven't visited the website in a while. How's everthing with you and the family? I'll be in Huntsville after Christmas for few days to visit my family. I hope to be able to help my sister figure out what we really own in SA County. I assume everyting is shut down for the year. Do you think leasing will start back in January? Thanks for checking in.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
Take care,
Bud
Hey Shelly, Not a lot goin on except that we have our first well permit in Sabine in nearly two years. It's not a HS well (8K') but at least it's new activity. It's about time for me to go check on Devon in Hemphill. I haven't checked in with them since before Thanksgiving. I'll let you know if they say anything interesting. J.
Nothing. We live North We was suppose to get money from Encana on October 25 and still have not today they said that they would lease it for $500 instead of $5000. So have you heard anything any different? We sign our papers August 20th.
Hey Shelly! I was almost in your neighborhood today. I had to visit a place on 705 but it was way, way, way, way down at the bottom, LOL.
Yeah, things are quiet here, too. Still some infill leasing going on but not any new areas, yet. I hear things should pick up in Jan. so lets enjoy the holidays and relax for a little while...it's huntin' season anyhow and you know ya can't get a thing done in either county in Nov. and Dec.!
Hey, how did you get your ranking so high. Mine was over 800 the other day and I deleted some comments and now it's down 70 or 80 points. Boo, I'm jealous (not), LOL.
Shelley, my opinion will be worth no more than it costs you to read it. Ha!
Having the activity we've had is much better than not having it. Is everyone going to be able to retire now? No. But if we manage it properly it should be a real good benfit.
Let's all share the info we can to benefit everyone.
HEy Shelley,
All is quiet. Sounds like it may the the first of next year before things start up again. Let me know if you hear anything. I am watching this site. Take care.
Hey Shelley,
Thanks for checking in. I hope to get down to SA to help my sister get our paper work in order so we can be ready for January! I hope all is well with your family. How is your dad? Thanks for keeping us informed. Take care.
In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??
