Susan, thanks for your comments, I have been off line a few days and just now have a chance to comment back. I am glad I didn't sign with Classic but I am still unsigned, which is OK because they are drilling a HS well right out my back yard and I WILL draw something in the near future. It is a shame that the oil companies are allowing this kind of landowner manipulation to go on, and although the area paper reports that there are over 4000 landmen working this area, the oil companies should still hold them accountable for how they treat the landowner. Most of the inexperienced landmen are just in it for the fast money, I have talked to 4 in the past 3 months, 1 was previously an insurance salesman, 1 sold used cars, 1 was a middle school teacher, and 1 was a college student. Not your highly experienced, seasoned veterans of the oil and gas business, and I believe the O&G companies came in looking for hungry, aggressive folks that were willing to lie to their mom's if need be to make a buck. I think it was like--Ya'll go out and low ball the public and we will give you a percentage of what you save us, you'll be happy, we'll be happy and if the public complains, we'll turn a deaf ear, make out like we are unaware and contribute alot of money to area organizations to get the RIGHT political people of our sides to shut the people up!
