shell is still leasing in sections they plan to drill in. shell has applied to the conservation to unitize aprox 25 sections in n sabine from miles road to oak grove area.

joevic, i can say i believe cheaspeake has the majority here in the sistrunk loop area.I guess shell and them will work it out! The land cheapeakes bid $17500.00 on shell was trying to get for $10000.00....... down from 12500.00 just two week's earlier.

I know Shell applied to 16 sections bacause I got two letters (one for 15 units and one for 1 unit) you have to send to nearby landowners about 4-6 months ago.
I got a letter today saying they applied to unitize 6 more sections. One of them is the one I'm in!!!!!
WERE IN THE MONEY! WERE IN THE MONEY! I mean I hope WERE IN THE MONEY! WERE IN THE MONEY!
I leased to CHK. The landman said they would probably trade it or sell it to Shell.
How can I find out if CHK sold or traded my lease to Shell.

Do you know of any other offers of $13.5 or more with the 25% royalty in the Belmont area? Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.

Ken,

Thanks for the info. All you hear about in Sabine right now is about Shell and I was just wondering if anyone knows if Chesapeake might drill something here soon. I know they leased alot of land in eastern parts of Sabine T9 R11W sections 1 and 2. Have you heard anything about these areas. Thanks.

joevic, we are in township 9 north, range 12 west. We are very close to the folk's that got those offer's. They are slightly east of us.( very slightly) but the land they concentrated on recently was were 483 from pelican hit's 174 in mitchell then west almost to oak grove. Go figure.... I hope cheaspeake drill's around here.

Having dealt with both CHK and Shell, when trying to lease, I found Shell to be very conservative on what they would offer the landowner. Others have told me this too. They just would not offer the dollars that CHK would. Good luck. If Shell gets a monopoly down there, it's going to be hard to get them to pay fair dollars for leases.

Jack Blake, what sec, township and range are you in. I am Sec 9, T 12N, R 12w (east Sistrunk Loop). I think you are fairly close.??? Hope I have a letter when I get home.

T 10 N, R 11 W Section 21 is where Jack Blake is.
