Just saw information that EnCana spudded the LeRoy Adcock 17 #H1 well on June 7th. I believe this well is further east than any previous Haynesville Shale test.

Hi Les-I drove by this well on Sunday (first time visit for an out of state-er) and there was no drilling going on just some folks painting on the rig. What happens next the frac-ing? Will this well be a general indicator of what Encana plans for Martin field? Many thanks, r b
RB, there seems to be something odd going on with this well from the Sonris information. If the rig was still on location they may not be finished drilling yet.

Yes, this is a key well for that part of Red River Parish.
Thanks Les, maybe they were changing a bit or something when I visited. I was only there a little while. There was however a red Veritas helicopter running full time just across the road. I hope you can spare the time to keep Red River Parish group updated on this well. Thanks, r b
Hello Les B- According to SONRIS they are still drilling at 15876' on this well. Is this a common thing? Is it possible they are into the next section? Any thoughts/insight would be appreciated. Thanks RB
RB, they seem to have had some problems getting this well drilled. According to Sonris they began drilling the lateral in late July but had to later sidetrack and restart the lateral in late August. Operations look smoother now and the well is nearing its total depth. Unfortunately it will likely be 1-3 months before we know any well results. One indication may be if EnCana permits additional wells in the area.
RB, if you are interested attached is the original well plot.

Les B-Thank you so much for the information and posting that pdf. Crossing fingers they find what they are looking for, so they will look for more!
Hello Les B-

Checking the SONRIS Site reports this well "FRAC 13,434-16,919'; FLOWING" could you help interpret? Also Encana has permitted another well in the section adjacent to this one (also on Adcock property) #240484. I'm hoping this is all good news for Martin Field. Thanks for your time.
R B
RB, it just means they frac'ed and completed the well and are now flowing gas (probably to the sales pipeline). EnCana will obtain a 24 hour flow test rate and apply to the State for a production allowable. Unfortunately it may be several weeks before the test rate is reported on Sonris.

I saw where EnCana permitted the well in Section 7 so hopefully that is an indication of positive results from the LeRoy Adcock 17 #H1 Well. I just need to see how long it takes before EnCana spuds the next well. I would also like to see EnCana and/or Samson permit some wells further south in T13N-R8W and T12N-R8W.
Many thanks for taking time to pass along the information Les B, always helpful and to a novice like me a blessing. I'm hoping Encana moves south in T13N-R8W too, that is where our property is!
