I got a couble of letters with the $250 bank draft from cobra to buy mineral rights. I know this has been discussed serveral times but I feel it's something that should be brought up again for the new members. Please make sure you know what you are doing and if you know someone who may not realize what they are doing like my mother or mother in law try and stay up with what they are recieving in the mailbox.

These are mass mailing and are fishing for a sucker. Always talk to someone with experience in selling and buying royalty and minerals before signing.
I got the same from Cobra $250 and 36x last 6 months monthly average section 36 17N 11W Bossier Parish.....its in the trash file!
Margaret,
I also got the same offer/letter. It went straight to the shredder!! I get them at least once a year, maybe twice. I agree with Catfish to be aware of what your older relatives are receiving. It is too easy for someone to sign away a family's future.
To Whom It May Concern. I am aware of a local reporter who would like to do a piece on Cobra. I believe that would be an excellent means to spread the word. I have obtained a copy of a Cobra letter but a person who has received the letter or had dealings with Cobra is needed to go forward with the piece.
Skip,

I have a Cobra offer with my name on it. If it would help you, I could fax it. My scanner is down.
Thanks, insomniacnla. I have an original letter. Now I'm looking for someone who would be willing to be interviewed about receiving one. The interview would be short as it takes care of the human interest angle. Experts in the appropriate fields would give their opinions on the Cobra letter in particular but also the facts and realities of selling minerals or royalty in general. IMO, local television news is the best media to tell this story and reach those who may be most susceptible to this type of approach.
And I'm sure they live for your opinion (ROFL)!
