I show that Chesapeake Energy has designated 14-16N-14W a drilling unit filed 2/24/2010. However, per Sonris, Camterra has filed a permit to drill on the same unit as of 3/22/2010. Anyone hear of this occuring to any other section?

Scott, if you are referring to the following well you will notice the lateral is in Section 23 which is a Camterra operated unit.

Camterra, Thompson 23 #1 Well, Serial #241048, S14(23)-T16N-R14W

S23-T16N-R14W, HA RA SU116 Unit, Camterra, Caspiana Field, Caddo Parish

By the way, there are several instances of a well operator being different than the original unit operator. Typically this means the unit operatorship was subsequently assigned to the new operator.
Scott, if you are a newbie, what Les B. is telling you is: On the Camterra well, The well pad is in Section 14, but the lateral will be drilled into and produced from Section 23.
Well that's good news. Were you able to determine this through Sonris?
From the SONRIS Well Scout under Scout Info:

1400' FEL & 82.5' FSL OF SEC 14. PBHL: 660' FEL & 150' FSL OF SEC 23.

Surface location 1400' From East Line & 82.5' From South Line of Section 14

Planned Bottom Hole Location 660' From East Line & 150' From South Line of Section 23.
Thanks guys.
Question re. this ...

"Planned Bottom Hole Location 660' From East Line & 150' From South Line of Section 23."

It was my understanding that the distance from a section line had to be 330 feet. Am I confusing planned bottom hole with something else? Just tryng to wrap my brain around a mental image, haven't found one of those colorful visual aides yet.

thanks 80)
Sesport, the PBHL can be closer than 330' from the section line but the last perforation has to be at least 330' from the section line.
Thank uuuuuuu!!1 80)
Scott, yes- I was able to obtain the information from Sonris.
Thanks Les.
