Les,

Do you think that the higher frac stages will become the norm?

Is the additional cost in proportion to the improved results, or is the jury still out?
Bobi, the operators are still trying to determine the optimum number of frac stages for each area but the trend is definitely up. The goal is to generate better economics by the incremental net revenue exceeding the incremental frac cost.
Bobbi,

You sure don't sound like a novice to me..... you go girl!

I would like this info for ser# 239976. this well was completed in Feb but I have not received a divison order or any infrom from Cheasapeask or Petrohawk.
Thank for your help
Pal, here is the initial test information. The well was completed with 20 frac stages.

Petrohawk, Bolton 35 #H1 Well, Serial #239976, S26(35)-T16N-R11W, Bossier Parish, 21183 Mcfd, 24/64" Choke, 8225 psi Flowing Pressure
Les, what's the update on serial #240650, Murphy 5 #H1? Thanks,
Keb, sorry but I don't have any test information for that well. I do have a note to drop you a line when something turns up.
Thanks Les for all do!!!!!
What do "potentialed" and "allowables" mean?

I can probably guess, but an authoritative answer would be nice.
Mac, potentialed just means the intial well test has been performed and the proper form submitted to the State. Once received and approved, the State will assign an allowable for the unit which is typically the same value as the well potential test.
for many of us, the long delays with no update on Sonris is frustrating. Not complaining about Conservation - they have always been among the best state employees I've ever dealt with, and i lived in 6 states since leaving La 20 years ago. But I'm following 2 wells in particular - one was completed in March, but the completion info wasn't posted until May, and it began producing in March. Have not yet received a division order from CHK, and no production data has been posted as of yet. The other well indicates drilling was completed in March (seems to be my magic month), but nothing posted since then. Hard to believe that the well hasn't been fraced yet.

As to the Division Order, an on-the-ground landman in DeSoto Parish (I live on the West Coast) told me that the lawyer shortage was so bad that operators have divorce lawyers doing division order title opinions. Scary, really scary.
Sonris is the ultimate, no other state has anything close. It will take a few months to get your royalty money and the first check will hopefully be a big one.
