There are two wells going in off Wallace Lake Rd. Both are being drilled from a pad in sec 18 16n 13w. Both are being drilled North, one into sec 8 (ser# 241358) the other in sec 7 (ser# 241555) my section. I own approx 5 acres and am unleased. I was contacted several times about leasing, but the offers were too low (4500.00/ acre).
Now that they are drilling, what would be my best strategy at this point?
Also, if I'm reading the info on Sonris correctly, it looks like the PBHL location is 250' from the North line of the section. If this is correct, I thought the bottom hole had to be a minimum of 330' from section lines. What's going on with that?
A 8" gathering line is being put in right behind my property also. This is a Petrohawk well.
Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

GWTF, you can lease at any time including after the well has been completed. I suggest that you sit tight and wait for the operator, Petrohawk ( Kinderhawk is the pipeline company) to contact you and be prepared with a bonus amount that is reasonable for the size of your tract. Otherwise you can always go UMI.

It would appear that Petrohawk would be in violation of LOC spacing regulations to have a PBHL closer than 330' from any unit line.
The PBHL can be within the 330', however, no perferations can be made within the 330'.

This is not unusual for HK, and will be noted on the well plat filed with the permit.

Also, only the well being perfed in your unit will pay you. The other will not, it will pay to the owners in the unit it produces from.
Thanks, Baron.
I see what you meen on the map you attached. I just assumed that the PBHL was the "end" of the producing location.
I did not have the map that you attached so thanks, and do you have any others relating to this well in my section?

Thanks,

all the well plats are available on sonris
I've clicked around on Sonris, and can't seem to find where the plats and other documents live. Is it on Sonris Clasic?

Thanks,

Instead of clicking on Sonris Lite, look a little further down and find "Document Access" under " Content Management". If you need any help from there, reply.
Hey Skip,
I have been at the content management page, but I guess I just don't know how to search for the documents I'm looking for. Yes, I would appreciate any guidence that you can provide.

Thanks,
GO
Have you found Document Access?
Yes, but I can't seem to find how to search the database.

YOu need to be sure all your popup blockers are turned off, use IE,
The perfs can be no closer than 330 ft from a section line.
