EnCana has spudded the first Haynesville Shale well south of Hwy 784 (Hickory Grove Rd) in T12N-R9W.  This well will provide key information and should further extend both the Haynesville Shale and Mid-Bossier Shale plays to the south.

Les....Is the well plat available for S24-T12N-R9W? The family has 160 acres in that section.
Joel, I have added the well permit with the plat as an attachment to the description above. Thanks for the reminder.
Thanks Les for sending that plat along. Being new shalers, could you clarify the term "Proposed Bottom Hole Location", which occurs on our family land?
Thanks in advance.

Joel
Joel, the well is proposed to be drilled with a horizontal lateral section that begins near the surface location in the northeast corner of the section and extends almost due south to the proposed bottom hole location. That will be end point of the well. The plan is to produce natural gas from the formation all along the horizontal lateral.

By the way, a drilling rig (Rowan #59) is currently drilling this well.
Les: how is the S24-T12N-R9W well progressing?
Joel, I would have expected this well to be completed soon but Sonris has been lagging on updates. You may want to check with RedRiverGal or Highwayman for some good intel on the well.
Joel and Les B,
I phoned one of the other property owners in Sec. 24 this afternoon . He said he didn't know the current status of the well (if it had been frac'ed, etc). Or said he didn't know. Either he wasn't interested in providing any information or really didn't know anything.
Les: how is the S24-T12N-R9W well progressing?
Joel, our friend,
Did you read the response to your previous (same) question posted above your last post? He probably has not heard anything else since then.
Yes, BirdDawg...did manage to see Les's response. We will just have to wait and see, though results should be known soon....Thanks...
For what its worth, Encana well B O Jones 16H #1 Serial # 240625 S16-T12N-R9W started paying royalties this month. No info on SONRIS yet as to MCF output of well
Does anyone know why the EnCana, Red River 1 LP 24 #H1 Well, has a production rate of only 3,875 MCF/day? Any problems with the well? Seems rather low compared to others. The lateral length of 2,761' also seems shorter than normal.
