My mother has 20 acres in Sec 4&5, T 4N, R 12W - she is interested in leasing minerals rights. Is there any activity in this area?

Jolee, the Sabine Index publishes the Clerk of Court filings for Sabine Parish. It is the best source to see what companies are leasing and where in Sabine. As TD,P mentions 4N -12W is far south of the Haynesville Play and that can be verified in the Clerk's filings. The activity in that area is most likely to be Austin Chalk. Learn to use SONRIS Lite database and you can track wells in that area.

Jolee I am tech challenged also. You have to just play with sonris to be good with sonris.
