Does anyone have information regarding NFR Exploration?  Good, Bad or Indifferent.  thanks

NFR is a JV between Nabors Industries and First Reserve Corp. They are only drilling in Harrison and Panola right now, on the Tx. side. At one time they were leasing in Shelby County along the Rusk Co. line but I haven't heard anything about them in awhile. They are capable of drilling a good well. I thought, in 2008, that they were going to be like Valence because they were only drilling vertical wells but they switched to a horizontal program last year.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
