I live off of 527 between 71 & 157. I have between 3-1/2 to 4 acres. Nobody has contacted me. Maybe due to all the activity out here the companies figure that that they are wasting their time coming out here. I have only lived here for 6 months or so but I DO hold the mineral rights. Anybody out there in the southern part of Bossier parish been contacted?
I am near the intersection of hwy 527 and Fairview Point Road, not far from Down Town Koran Store. I leased my mineral rights in the mid 90's and have been receiving royalties for quite some time now.
Anyone live in the Cane Bend area? I have a lot in Cand bend and have not been contacted, but I just recently updated my contact info with the parish. Any offers yet?
Jenni,
You are probably held by production in the Sligo field. I also own a lot in Cane Bend that is held by production. The Sligo field has been in production since the 40's. But if you would like to double check any of the companys will do the title work. They can probably let you know within a week whether you have minerals or not.
I was afraid of something like that. I know there is a well just across the bayou and I've seen the tank battery and separator at the entrance to Cane Bend.

If you don't mind me asking, what lot do you own? I tried to PM you but there is no email listed for you on your page. We own Lot 18, The one that has not been cleared.
I have mineral rights between in your area on hwy 71...I contacted them to work a deal...
I have talked to a Twin cities rep. Got the standard 5500/acre 25% roylaties offer. He said that they searched my title and determined I have my mineral rights and i was not held by production. I had contacted them before the 4th of July and they said they would look into my request to lease. Any other folks off Sligo rd around the Cane Bend area get any offers?
Not sure if you were asking me this, but we have 3.9 acres on Cane Bend Drive.
Sorry I posted to your previous question. I did not see that you had posted again. I had written myself a note to look up the Section, Township and Range and look at SONRIS. After I had complete this I replied to your first post.
Chesapeake is the operator for all 3 wells. I don't receive royalties for my lot either so I will be checking on this.
I have never participated on a board before so I probably didn't fill in info correctly.

Cane Bend is in 15-17N-12W. I looked on SONRIS, there has been production in that section since 1937.

I am not a professional in oil and gas, so I may not be 100% on anything. Just trying to pass along what "I think I know". Definately not professing to know it all.
Do leases have certain depths that they go by. My property on Jay Lane is under lease along with cane bend is there a way to get a copy of the lease? Since the Shale is suppose to be deeper than other wells or is a lease for any kind or type of drilling?
