Indigo Minerals LLC just sent me pre-application notices on 3 Cotton Valley units they're forming in T15N 14W sec 8,17,19.  Is there some horizontal cotton valley potential here?  Indigo looks to have some good production from the cotton valley in the past few months.

Just got through reading the other thread about Indigo and horizontal cotton valleys.  Duh is right.  Guess I should have done a little searching before leaping out with my uninformed question.  I'm prone to excitement when I get pre-application notices in the mail.  Forgive me.

Chesapeake has these sections in 15/14. Encana has most of the stuff to the east of these sections in 15/14 and Encana bought out the Glen Rose wells in sec. 21 of 15/14. With that info, Jay, do you think Encana will flip their shallow stuff to Indigo on leases where there are no outs with pugh clauses ? Or will they keep it and develop it? We have some acreage in 21 but we are out of the lease for the shallow with our pugh clause. Wonder what Indigo will pay to lease?

if unleased, what is going rate to lease in this play

Is there another formation on top of Cotton Vallye--perhaps Glen Rose-- and is it a separate area for leasing

In our area (14/11), ECA unitized the Hosston, CV & HA formations.

noticing on online filings in Desoto Parish that Indigo is securing a lot of pipeline right of ways in the Logansport Field. Isn't that way south of where they are drilling? Perhaps they are getting ready to expand  their search

looks like 12/15  12/16  13/15 of Desoto are starting to get action from Indigo

The action appears to be moving to 15/15 & 15/14.  Seemingly better wells.

This will be interesting after all the companies go into high gear with the new year starting. We should see the direction they are going by the units that get formed.

I think Jay said on this thread or another thread on this topic that the further east you go, the thinner this play gets

UGH! cotton valley "wet". haynesville/bossier "dry". good market for NGL's.

More Cotton Valey units being formed in Sections 17,18,19 of T 15N 14W with multiple wells going in each unit. Also noticed that Petrohawk has requested a unit for Lower Cotton Valley in Elmgrove Field
