Permalink Reply by Skip Peel - Mineral Consultant on Debra, there are a number of Sections 22 and 25 in Union parish, one of each in fact in each and every township. For us to know which Sections 22 and 25 to which you are referring, we need to also know the township and range. It would look something like this: S22-22N-1W (Section 22 - Township 22 North, Range 1 West).
Permalink Reply by Debra Gray on Sorry Skip, I knew that, long day. Well, I told them mine was sec 26/T22/3W and it is supposedly sec 25 next to mine if they were correct. That would be between Bernice and Lillie and east of that.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of) nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
