This is not a well permit, it is a unit application.  SWN will file a well permit for the unit well at a later date.  Considering their progress on the L SMK RA SUA; BML PROP 31-22-1H #1,  I don't think it will take too long.  They need to have the next location ready when the DESOTO DRILLING #20 rig TD's.

they will probally go to the location in 23N-4W next, or up to Union County. this is probally for the well after that

You're probably right, Baron.  I didn't stop to look at my unit list.  Do we know if the locations in S1 - 19S - 16W and S14 & 23 -23N -4W are ready?

I've visited the location in S1-19S-16W about a month ago and it's ready.  The location is cleared, fenced, and the pits are dug; same as the Roberson and Garrett wells.

Thanks, Dwayne.

I heard someone the other day who went to the public hearing for this well say that they were told that SWN would begin drilling this well in late summer/early fall.  This indicates that they will move to one of the two wells you mentioned when they are done with the well they are currently drilling.

At the recent earnings conference, Mueller of SWN said they weren't sure where their next well after the Ora well would be:

"And really, even our fourth well today is in limbo, exactly where it's going to go. And the reason it's changing is that the industry is also drilling wells. So to the extent that one of those wells we were going to drill somewhere in our sequence are close to one of the industry wells, we're busily making agreements with the industry to trade information. So I can tell you, the first 3 are still under that same logic that we had. But from 4 on, we're revising it as we see other information come in."

hes just not trying to get pinned down. I think they have to keep drilling with the one rig till they decided if this will work or not.

That comment was curious then, it appears to be somewhat dated now as Devon has temporarily abandoned their well and XTO seems to have completed theirs as a vertical.   IMO SWN should not wait on others to conquer their learning curve.

What about the Cabot well. It should be flowing by now. Any rumors on it?
