There is a company leasing in Shongaloo. Miller is the company name I heard. Telling land owners it is for horizontal drilling. Some are speculating that "Miller" is connected with SWN through associations. Anyone know about this?

What are the locations of the leasing  (Sec Township Range).  Do you know of any specific offers?

As we have discussed elsewhere in this Brown Dense Forum, SWN lists on their latest investor presentation a "permitted well operated by others" very near the North Shongaloo-Red Rock Field, which they say will test the Brown Dense. They show the well as a green star in the extreme northwestern part of Claiborne Parish, but otherwise it fits the description of the well, permit #244496, which has now been spudded by XTO just across the parish line in Section 12 T23N R9W of Webster Parish. This would be some 5 miles east and a little north of the property you describe.

SWN's map is on p. 13 or 14 of the following link:

The last lease we saw (which was for property above Hwy 82) openly stated it was SWN we were leasing to, rather than through the agent (as was done with the earlier leases).

Also, these terms are substantially different from anything I've heard of SWN doing; in particular, having any interest above the BD doesn't sound right to me -- on the leases we have done w/ SWN there was no interest at all in anything above BD.

I would be surprised if that's who this is.
