When should you sell your Natural Gas Stocks? how far do you ride them down or hold them?

CHK is $16.97 today
HK is $13.97 today

Both near 1/5 of what I bought them for!

Will they ever come back?
Will they be delisted?

Never been in this position before.
I am not in either that heavy, but losing money is losing money.

They are both 'low, low, low, low, low, low' sigh

That's not very encouraging....sigh
If you had bought then think of the money that you would have made even now with it below $20.
Snake, thats a good thing.... it just means theres more room for growth.
I am thinking I will just hold it, and my nose for the long run.
In my gut, i believe they will pull through, just not fond of accelerated dives.

Like the office administrator at a brokerage house i have dealt with in the past said recently --- "If you sell now, you just lock in your loss." The wisest words I've ever heard from that operation. The broker just wants to invest every bit of loose change in my account. With no particular plan. Did i mention he has a box of lipsticks on his desk? CHK went up $2.99 yesterday -- 11/21. Closed at the price you posted. The P/E is 7. HK went up $1.02 yesterday. The PE is 26. I'm just a layman when it comes to the stock market and the Natural Gas business. But both of these companies are commodity based stocks. As the underling commodity goes, so goes the stocks. Baring management stupidity, overextended debt commitment, etc. If you're a bit of a gambling man, you might want to double down on CHK. Don't know what to say about HK. I own some CHK myself and am also thinking of buying more. In the long term, it's reasonable to think that energy consumption will increase in the intermediate and long term -- say from three years and further out.

Remember, yesterday's market bounce is attributed to the next administration's Secretary of the Treasury selection. I guess the theory is that any news that is not bad MUST be good. The market can just as easily lose the gain this Monday.

Also, Aubrey's sale of stock was forced due to margin calls. He had no choice in the matter.
