Companies who sublet/subcontract from major operators

Are the smaller operating companies that subcontract/sublet/sublease from bigger major companies??

If an operator has a 640 acre unit, can he allow other companies to come in and set up within that unit?

Samson has Devon do their operations ..is that the same thing you talking about?

Samson Contour is a Working Interest in the wells of many operators, not just Devon.  They take some leases, form some units but rarely actually drill a well themselves.

I'm not sure. I heard someone say PINNACLE OPERATING CO is a subcontractor for CHK. Not sure what that means.

Pinnacle Operating is a small, private O&G company.  Not a subcontractor.  Their connection to CHK is probably that they assigned the deep rights to their existing HBP leasehold for Haynesville/Bossier development.

Or that CHK assigned their shallow rights to Pinnacle.

ECA and HK assigned some of their shallow rights to Sklar.
