Emergency Clearance Request are letters from SWN to the Office of Conservation (OOC) that can be veiwed in the wellfile at the Monroe Office of Conservation. These letters contain a date range in which the oil is produced. Also, these leters are not posted on SONRIS. When the OOC OKs the sell of oil they post it as an allowable on SONRIS.
As for the dates involved, I can only speculate that either their on site stoage filled up and they had to move oil to continue testing, or perhaps this is another bifurcated completion and they tested the toe end of the lateral, then tested the head end of the lateral. Only SWN knows.
Also keep in mind we do not know the gas or water prodcution rates associated with the oil production, nor do we know when the flowback actually started.
so , basically, we cannot ascertain an actual production rate from this posting? They just had to move some oil is all?
Thanks for explaining the particulars, Jim. Much appreciated.
Fact: Oil tanker seen leaving BML well yesterday. You could hear a roar from a good distance away as they flared off gas. The flames were very high.
Thank you. Is there any way a photo could be taken from someone who is local and close to the flare? It would be great to have a photo that shows the size (height/length) of the flare? If not, would you please estimate the size. This is good data and again thank you Barbara.
We have been watching the flare every night for the past couple of weeks from about 2 miles away from the well, last night the sky was noticeably brighter. This well is not visible from the road, you can get close enough to hear the roar and see the sky lit up but you cannot see the actual size of the flame.

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
