Does Chesepeake (or any energy company) pay for seismic testing? I got a call from a friend today saying Chesp wants to cross his property to do seismic testing and he was wondering if they pay to cross his land.

I have no idea so I thought I'd post it here to find out.

Thanks,
Drew

Drew, to answer you question all I can say is this. Chesapeake hired a seismic company to do a shoot across our land in natchitoches parish. SEI is the company they hired and we contracted with. they paid us so much per acre to do the work over a period of 18 mths.

hope this helps

We are in 16N 8W and we signed to have the seismic test shoot. I just found out that in 2000 that there was a 2D done. I think this is very postive information now that they have decided to do a 3D.
