Thanks for the info.

I just thought I sent you a message but I think I messed up.....I'll try again....Do you know who is offering $1000 an acre in Echo?? I just found out that Halliburton is down there doing something but I'm not sure what?   But my source says that they do "mud" work????Heard anything???

A bunch of  folks just lost out on getting anything because they were holding out on that rumor of a $1000 per acre that you and several others have been floating around. Bonus money is  just  one  thing to consider in granting  an oil lease and it takes a back seat  in my book to other more important components of  the  lease. In every situation that I have looked into the lessors were adding the bonus money and the extension money together to come up with the higher figure with the highest amount being $1300. Give us a name of  who got the $1000.

Darlin'....If anybody missed out on anything that would be their own fault...we're all grown ups here and able to think for ourselves...we don't know everything there is to know and I will continue to relay what I do hear and everyone can decide individually what they want to do with the information...I am very well aware that the bonus is not the most important thing in a contract, that is why before signing anything I would definitely encourage everyone to get a qualified attorney to check it out first. TD, I'm not here to make your job easier but to give the landowners the information that I "hear" which so far has been pretty accurate...what they do with it is their business...After all, isn't this what this page is far????

source is friend of a friend. source says this $1000 guy is not as knowledgeable as he could be.  he might be thinking 500 + 500 or the paperwork actually didn't actually match the spoken word?   it took a while to get the source of the source.  soo, this could be a rumor, or not?

Thanks Blackjack....do you know the o&g company? or what Halliburton is doing there in Echo?

i don't know but i'll ask around.  someone else might respond first.

Halliburton is there fracking the Broadway well.

Well, you are probably right...but I "heard" that they are working down a road by the volunteer fire station in Echo????

Halliburton is  probably down there for the frack job that is going on on the Broadway well.

Blackjack, I don't think  that the lease offer  would double with two crap EOG wells and a dry hole on the Lambright. Where is the $600 offer? Ask the folks up around Shreveport that turned  down $20,000 offer and never were contacted again. Some folks main agenda is to say that  they got a better deal than their neighbor. In my time in this biz I have dealt with more dry holes than hits. Some  landmen rejoice  in telling the mineral owner that was holding out for a better deal that the deal is pulled off the table. I don't like doing that.

Does anyone know of any current activity (leasing or proposed permits) in the Libuse area?
