that Horizontal shallow chalk well is pretty good, if it can hold up like that for awhile
Fuller 26H
dbob, Petro-Chem has been exploring the Annona Chalk as a horizontal drilling prospect for over a year and the Fuller 26H #2 is their best well to date. I suspect that the production will hold up over time as the reservoir is conventional. Owing to that fact the question would seem to be, how large of an areal extent is prospective for these wells? I think Pero-Chem and CSC Energy have leased enough lands to drill a number of step outs. From a mineral owners' prospective I think the most interesting element is that CSC leased those lands at a quarter royalty. For those who end up in areas where the Annona Chalk is economic the royalties might be surprisingly substantial. The oil gravity is very good although the produced water is high.
I performed some title work for one out of state owner who acquired their interest by inheritance. In earlier plays there was a lot of mineral sales in the core region of the current Wildhorse LCV/CV liquids development. Many individuals were acquiring mineral or royalty rights from locals and selling them to buyers all over the country. My client's successors in title were from Pennsylvania. A lot of those original leases are still in force through continuous production. I suspect a lot of folks who live on and own the land in the Terryville and Hico-Knowles fields don't own the minerals. The fact that long term unbroken ownership results in ever smaller ownership interest per individual, many owners don't live in the area and Wildhorse doesn't blow its own horn allows the play to unfold with little publicity.
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
