Since GDP's  June 2 update I have wondered about the CMR/Foster Creek 24-13H.

HOUSTON, June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --The Company is currently drilling the SLC, Inc. 81H-1 (66.7% WI) well in West Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, the Bates 25-24H-1 (97.6% WI) and the Denkmann 33-28H-2 (75% WI) wells in Amite County, Mississippi and the CMR-Foster Creek 24-13H-1 (84.7% WI) well in Wilkinson County, Mississippi.  The Company is temporarily running four rigs as it is in the process of swapping out the oldest rig for a newer, more technologically advanced rig, with plans to go to as many as five rigs by the end of the year pending continued success.

Nabors Drilling Rig 624 shows up in the 6/27 report with a spud date of 5/30 and currently Drilling Ahead 29 days @ 11367'.  The report contains the note:  Prematurely Released.

Is this unusual or what could be the case that the depth has not changed in 3-4 weeks?

You'll never see mechanical issues referenced in a weekly rig report.  There are a number of reasons for low ROP numbers or sequential reports at or around the same depth.  That kind of detail is only provided in corporate presentations and press releases, if then.

I have a friend who has been working on this rig. He said they dropped about a million worth of tools down the hole and are trying to fish them out. He expects the problem to add at a minimum an additional 2 to 3 weeks to the drilling time.

That would do it, jacob.  Thanks for the information.

As they say way down south "Ay Dios Mio" or ADM.   That is not good at all.

Nabors Drilling Rig 624 Reports 71 days Drilling @ 17,227', 8/8.

Apparently they could not fish out the tools and had to set a whipstock. I was told they had issues with the cement job near the whipstock and have been losing a whole lot of drilling mud everyday. My friend was told that GDP mud bill for this well is around 8 million. If that is accurate don't think they'll ever see their money back on this one...
