Nagogdoches County near Chireno. My production payments have stopped and EOG reports the well has "critical facility problems". Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks very much, Skip.

That was a good well, Dr. Sowell. It made 6.22 Bcf in two years. I don't know why it's shut-in but the reports suggest that it was taken off-line about mid-May and reported zero for June. If I had to guess... the pressure may have gotten too low. Maybe someone local will know more because EOG won't report that sort of thing to RRC where the general public would be likely to see it.

Update:

They did a G-10 test on April 23 and it was tested at 3512 mcf (capability) and 3567 mcf (deliverability) but the flowing pressure was only 1007#.

The Calculated Deliverability Potential: -0-

If you click on "G-10 test" that will take you to the Proration report.

Does that mean the well is permanently shut down?

I can't answer that one. There was a discussion on this site a while back (which I can't find now) of being able to do a "re-frac" on horizontal Haynesville wells but I haven't seen one reported, yet, in East Texas. I don't know what makes a well a good candidate for re-frac, either. They could drill several more wells in that unit eventually. That was a good well so I don't see them abandoning the unit acreage, in case you're wondering.

That's reassuring...thank you.

EOG reported to me this morning that the "tubing had been replaced" and "the well was back on line". Is that possible??

yes.

if flowing tubing pressure, ftp, is 1000 psi at the wellhead, the well could produce against a takeaway pl pressure <1000. however, most operators would look at slapping some compression on the well to increase deliverability.

but, in this case, it sounds like there'd been a down-hole production equipment problem (tubing) which they remedied.

Sure, it is. EOG is a top shale operator so you are in good hands. If it just came back on we will see production reports for August in October.
