Thank you very much for sharing these weekly reports with us.

You're welcome.  Keep in mind that the reports are dependent on the accuracy of the specific data filed by the drilling subcontractor and the process of accumulating and publishing that data by the rig reporting company.  Mistakes occasionally happen and I try to figure them out, if possible, including sometimes contacting the reporting company.  For example there are now a large number of units, and wells, with the name CMR-Foster Creek followed by numbers designating the sections where the well is located.  Also in MS it is common when forming a unit to permit two wells.  So there are two wells permitted with the same name in the same location but one is #1 and one is #2.  It can get confusing for everyone involved with tracking and reporting.

Hi Skip - How did you find that on drilling ahead? I was looking at the website but can only find the Canadian rigs.

Walt, what website?  Are you referring to the SONRIS database?  You can not track drilling ops in any way approaching real time on SONRIS.  It is common for the  rig to be be finished and gone before the spud is reported on SONRIS.  The information on SONRIS is provided by the well operator.  The drilling reports that I post come from my subscription to the Weekly Drilling Report by RigData.  That information comes from the drilling contractor and must be much more timely as it's main use is by field services that support a drilling rig.  It can be a challenge to find remote locations where rigs are drilling and the weekly rig report includes directions to rig locations.

Sorry - Thought you were referring to something like this: http://www.drillingahead.com/trinidad-drilling-rig-fleet-map

The website was the brainchild of Keith Mauck, a landowner and entrepreneur who recognized a pressing need: landowners in the region had little access to…
