Unless there was a mechanical problem with the well, that's not sufficient production to justify drilling any further wells in that location.
JIM WHAT SIZE IS THE UNIT AND HOW CAN I GET A COPY
Waylon -
The abbreviated divishon order doesn't provide much information beyond that on Skp's initial post for the Morris E R 1H, James Taylor Survey Abstract 1029.
As I recall, the orgiinal Petro-Land lease had a 640 acre unit size, and the total orginal Petro-Land lease (now Anadarko) was for around 1700+a acres. I own only a small sliver, but most of he James Taylor Survey has been been leased several times, with dwindling production over the past 50 or 60 years.-- before refracking, horizontal wells, and all the new technologies.
However, I figure the old piplelines and other infrastructure must have already been in place, because the Morris well started production so quickly after the permit was assigned. However, Anadarko's division order was very minimal, which, for me, made it dfficult to gain specific information.
You and the Forum have done a great job of keeping us updated, but like Skip has posted, the RRC doesn't have very strong requirements for operators to submit their completion and production reports.
I'm very much a novice in thcurrent oil and gas game, and I'm not up to speed on the new RRC site. So I guess it's still "wait and see" for the most recent production data.
(I also have a small interest in some of the old Rodessa pooled units very close by to the Morris well, but I don't understand how they might fit in somehow.)
Thanks again,
Jim Bemis
jim how can you determine that your royalty interest is correct if you dont know the size of the unit?
Waylon --
I'm not clear what you mean by unit size?
Jim,
All of the completion paperwork turned in by Anadarko on the Morris well is available at this link (no production reports on this page):
Waylon,
Unit plat is attached.
Anadarko moved a rig out of Panola Co. last week so I'll be looking for it to turn up in a new location. They could have just ended a contract, though, so it may not reappear in East Texas.
the bare creek well is shut in with 2000 l pounds of presure its gonna be a good one when they sand frack it
Shale drilling and lithium extraction are seemingly distinct activities, but there is a growing connection between the two as the world moves towards cleaner energy solutions. While shale drilling primarily targets…

AboutAs exciting as this is, we know that we have a responsibility to do this thing correctly. After all, we want the farm to remain a place where the family can gather for another 80 years and beyond. This site was born out of these desires. Before we started this site, googling "shale' brought up little information. Certainly nothing that was useful as we negotiated a lease. Read More |
