Wife and I are getting up in age and it would seem that offers to lease mineral rights are not going anywhere soon. Has anyone given thought to selling their mineral rights? We have 27.19 acres and our kids are scattered all over the country and world (military) with no real intentions to moving back to home. So it' just me and Mama and what we want to do.
Has anyone ever gotten an offer to 'buy' their rights.
Thanks for anyone's input.

I suggest that you get started by reading the portion of my Mineral Fundamentals blog that deals with selling a mineral right or a royalty interest. Click on the link below. There are numerous companies and individuals making offers in certain portions of Jackson Parish. The specific location of your mineral right will be important to whether you receive offers and the amount of those offers. If you provide your location by section-township-range you will likely receive multiple replies and opinions for your consideration.
