Expect 6 wells (on avg.) to be completed per month in 2009. WOW!

SB, that was exactly Wilson's point during the presentation. He is projectecting a potential capital savings of $15-20MM per section by reducing well count. Bigger frac jobs will increase spacing to 120 acres per well.
175B's @ 30% recovery rate equals approx. 52B's of recoverable reserves per section, which would more or less jive with what the other O & G companies are saying. Here's hoping it's 225 B's @ 30%.
I am still not convinced that its doing all its capable of doing.
If the restraints of lower prices and a somewhat flooded market werent in place..........
Hard to fully grasp, even with those decline curve #'s.
Look at Page 11.

EGP 63 - Measured Gas in Place = 170 BCF
Brings back distant memories of those comment made by Uncle Floyd & Uncle Mac about chump change and 50Bcf recoverable per section.
28.2 blows my mind. I'm glad they are "perfecting" it all BEFORE they get our way.

GD, So happy for ya!
Guess I'm being nosey, But G. D., be you a Sample?
I save each of these presentaions as they come along. It is interesting to see what changes month to month. Last month, Pertohawk upped their Haynesville 2009 budget from $500M to $600M and increased their 2009 projected drill-to-connection time from 60 to 65 days. 2008's drill-to-connection time was 75 days.

This month, the big news is the longer laterals and more frac stages. This has driven the estimated well cost to $8.5-$9.5M and drill-to-connection time back to 75 days. Makes sense.

Thanks, Taylor for the heads up.
I wonder if the other compnaies working in the HS will announce their 2009 drilling plans, specifically Shell/SWEPI whom I signed with.

Anyone have any news on the other companies?
Shell's website does not say anything with regard to their HS activities except a vague mention.

I hope they have as much motivation to get moving on their holdings as some of the smaller companies where this is the mainstay of their business
Maybe they are the 'late bloomers'.
Hope it all works out that they don't get to mine, and then don't get to prod until the rpice of NG goes up.
It would be nice to have some checks now though.
VSC, EnCana plans 52 gross wells in 2009 (versus 18 in 2008). Goodrich plans to spend $195MM and drill 40 gross wells in the HS in 2009.
Les B it would be very interesting to know how much actual pipeline sales Swepi has from the wells they have drilled. They are absolutely the biggest mystery company in the Haynesville Shale, with the deepest pockets. Considering how long they take to drill and complete their wells and as few wells as they are drilling, seems to me they would be more vulnerable that any of the other companies in the play to losing lease acreage.
