Anyone local to the Avoyelles area hearing anything about the Eagles Ranch Well? It appears that they recently finished drilling well and should be moving frac crews on location soon.

Jay, their well is no good because they did not drill it correctly, they did not complete it correctly and they did not stimulate it correctly. The AC is not a sand matrix. Its not EagleFord. Its a naturally fractured formation that the fractures have to be supported to be able to produce at an optimum amount.

Joe i thought EOG was THE PLAYER  in the chalk?  How could they make the same mistakes Anadarko made.  Please explain!!

What info are you looking for?

Anything that alerts us to the status of the well.....

Or the reasons for 3D shoot being halted, planned drilling being cancelled...etc..

All you will find is in the SONRIS Data Access Well file.  I wouldn't get too concerned until we see a couple of additional months of production.  December should be available soon.  The IP 180 will be an important benchmark.

Thanks Skip,  patience is a virtue... just waiting with optimistic anticipation that EOG can make it economical....

They used their EagleFord frack formula to drill the well.

Jay, The only way to know if the formation was naturally fractured is to have access to the mud log. That would show the mud loss to the formation while drilling AC. I think EOG would consider that proprietary information. I don't see us getting our hands on it.

Yes, patience is highly suggested.  I think EOG will not go away with one test well.  And I think the other companies will also test their acreage.

Thank everybody for the information figure something had went wrong with the well

okay, I was going to be nice and put a link on here to the petroquest February presentation, but I couldn't.  so google that and look on page 9, 10, 11, 12  and 13.

Does anyone have any updates on Eagle Ranch well..  what’s going on up there in Avoyelles ? No status updates or work permits on Sonris...
