6 months so far of 200+ million cu.ft./month since re-completion. This compares to only 3 months at that rate when the well was originally drilled. If that keeps up, I'd have to call the re-completion highly successful.

Public companies that make quarterly reports have stated re-frac costs of approximately $2M.  QEP has completed a lot of re-fracs over the last 2 to 3 years and a number of their wells show similar new production profiles.  Many original unit wells, 2008 to 2014, were short laterals with poor stimulation (low proppant loads compared to current well designs).  Even with good rock, those wells declined quickly.  It takes time to pick out the wells that have been re-fraced so I encourage members to post when they know their well(s) have been re-completed/repaired.

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
