Why would information about a new well with production info just stay on Scout Details a couple of weeks?

Are you referencing the Well Scout section of a SONRIS well file?  Or, the Scout Reports by District?

Scout report by district (Shreveport)

I quite using the Scout Reports by District long ago because the data was more timely and more accurate in other parts of the database.  I suggest that you "search by section-township-range".  Leave the section box blank and just input the township and range.  That will pull up all sections and wells and you can easily scroll through them keeping in mind that the wells are organized by surface location which is often not the section being produced.  The numbers in the well name tell you the producing sections.
