I have info regarding this seismic survey. Please dont worry, you will be paid.
Can you share your info regarding this seismic survey with the members here?
I work for CGGVeritas and can assure everyone will be paid prior to CGGVeritas ever entering someones property. We send out checks to the landowners that we are about to enter.

The survey is 680 square miles, so when you hear of one landowner recieving a check, the landowner 3 miles away may not recieve one until a couple of weeks to a month after.

We dont not pay with drafts as oil companies do. We are a service company and pay by check. I keep hearing that people hear of other landowners in other areas recieving $25.00 per acre for damages, this is true. But those are different seismic shoots being done by oil companies. Their economics are entirely different than ours. We do not use the data to drill. We license the data to prospective oil companies.

I hope this clears some things up.
How much do yall pay?
Thanks for the info, Seismic Guy. Is Encana one of the companies you license the data to, or can you share that with us?
I cant say who our underwriters are as that information is extremely confidential.

Two Dogs, we are paying $15.00 per acre. My competitor Seitel is shooting a large survey over in Shelby County, Texas. They are also paying $15.00 per acrea.
Are you permitting in T12N-10W?
Yes, but only the north half of it.

You can go to our website to see the outline of the survey.

So is the the Tri Parish shoot the only one that Veritas is doing in the RR parish area? A couple posts back it seemed like there might be a couple. Thanks.
This is the only survey being done in RR Parish. There is another survey in Beinville Parish and another in N. Desoto and Caddo Parishes.
One in Bienville Parish extends into Natchitoches Parish. To Black Lake, Goldonna and beyond. I'm not sure how far south it goes.
ok..i am in 13 and 14 which may not be in the area.
