What area is considered the most "hot" spot? I had heard Benton, Bossier (the obvious is Haynesville).

Only one producing Haynesville is on the Vardeman Rd. Two rigs are currently drilling behind the Walton place on a double pad for sections 14 & 23.
How many miles north of the DeSoto Parish line would you say South Caddo Parish is defined as?
The way it looks it's somewhere along a line from say around the Colquit Road and Hwy 171 intersection east to west and south from there. It may be farther north due to the fact that they are keeping tight lips on actual Haynesville Shale well locations. Lots of Cotton Valley depth wells are being drilled too so it's sometimes hard to determine an actual line.
South Shreveport city limits in my opinion.
I know of at least 3 chk wells north of Colquitt Rd.
Where is Colquitt Rd? I am out of state---looks to me like 171 is almost to De Soto....other maps indicate Shale is further North (at least central Caddo) to me...
Colquitt is Hwy 525.
I think he was saying what defined southern Caddo Parish.
Yes thx for the info...looks like a lot of leasing going on around Blanchard...all of a sudden...
HOT spot, COLD spot......we are all on the HV Shale spot.

pls remember this: they are still leasing in FT.Worth for $25,000 per acre .
HV Shale is aleast 4X hotter than the Barnett shale.

and like the Man said: South Caddo is all but leased up!
I think this is a fair point.

ShaleGeo,
While South Caddo may be the hottest spot, according to current expert opinions, the real question is how significant is the drop-off in other areas. Is it simply geographical? Meaning, those areas closest to S. Caddo are likely to be the next hottest and as you move further away the probability is reduced that you will be in a "hot" area?
Probably too early to tell and I am guessing there will always be outliers, but any thoughts?
Thanks.
