This is Eric Clarke with the East 80 group. We are looking into this activity and looking at the DNR for permits. We are thinking this is going to be a private wildcat well which does not require force pooling because it can be done with a 40 acre tract of land, so long as there is not any slant or horizontal drilling outside the permited area for drilling. However have you recieved a force pooling notification from any gas company requesting the the pooling order from the Department of Conservation?

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.
