Why would I get a letter about the intention "to create five (5) drilling and production units" when I am not leased and am not in one of these sections?

Our property is in the corner of a section that is adjacent to one of the sections mentioned in the letter. I had no idea there was even any leasing in the adjacent section. It is from Encana.
I was just wondering if it is standard procedure for surrounding sections to get these letters.

T8N R11W S19,20,21,28,29 - The "5" proposed units in the Zwolle Field of Sabine Parish.

We are in Section 32.

Thanks for any info you can pass on regarding this.

4HTSG, the short answer is yes it typical for mineral owners in adjacent sections to receive notification.

Can you post additional information reagarding the proposed units (ie the unit names)?
CV & HA RA SUA

CV & HA RA SUB

CV & HA RA SUC

CV & HA RA SUD

CV & HA RA SUE

I hope this is the info you needed.
Thanks 4HTSG!! I assume the following:

CV & HA RA SUA - Section 19
CV & HA RA SUB - Section 20
CV & HA RA SUC - Section 21
CV & HA RA SUD - Section 28
CV & HA RA SUE - Section 29
That is a correct assumption.
Les, Is the Haynesville shale really this far south????
Henry, it appears at least EnCana believes the Haynesville Shale is there. Although there a little dated, see the attached blob maps.
