Jaretta, the only activity to date has been the formation of seven units for the Haynesville. There have not been any wells permitted or drilled in T12N-R9W. Most current drilling is further north including the Elmwood Well.

Jaretta, if you have land in Red River Parish section 25-T12N-R9W, then you should have received something in the mail informing you about forming a unit. We are leased with Encana and they have sent surveyers out and mark where a well pad will be and already paid for "damages" to build the pad. Hopes this helps you out a little!BJ

THANK YOU BJ. WE DO HAVE LAND IN THAT SECTION. OUR PLACE IS KNOWN AS ANCHOR RANCH. CHARLIE BEACHES SR. OLD PLACE. HE WAS MY GRANDPA. THE ONLY LETTER WE GOT SAID PETROHAWK WHICH IS WHO WE ARE LEASED WITH WAS GOING TO UNITIZE SAID FIELDS. THEY HAD A COURT DATE. IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH OUR PLACE, HOW CLOSE IS THE WELL PAD. SO FRUSTRATING THAT I CAN'T BE THERE TO CHECK THINGS OUT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INFO. KEEP ME POSTED. JARETTA

Yep, you're
pretty close to us, but the pad is on our family land. Talked to the man that did our lease last year," today," he said that Encana has plans to drill in our sec in 2010! The paper work to unitize should come up before long online. It's exciting! I think the next step is to permit to drill???? They should also start clearing the land any minute for the pad. Hope this helps a little. BJ

Yep it is exciting.. i am happy for your family. I guess that means our area is a hot spot. maybe good things will come to us too. if you see them close to the anchor ranch let me know. good luck to your family. thanks for all the info. jaretta

jaretta, your family , because they are in the same section will get $ from royalities according to the contract that the family signed. Like ours is 25%, someone in your family should know or have a copy of the contract. For instance, my in-laws is where the well pad will be, they received extra money for that, but we have land also, so we are like your family and will get royalities. By the way, I know some of the family from years ago and haven't heard from them in years. Does Gina ring a bell? She would be Charlie Beach Jr.'s daughter. My how the world goes round! WOW IT IS A SMALL WORLD GINA IS MY COUSIN. HER DAD CHARLIE JR. AND MY DAD ARE BROTHERS. THE ANCHOR RANCH WAS LEFT TO ME AND MY SISTER AND BROTHERS. SO WE OWN THE WHOLE THING NOW. WE SIGHNED A LEASE TOGETHER. IS THIS PAD FOR A TEST WELL. OR JUST YOUR LEASE COMPANY DRILLING. EVERYTHING SEEMS TO BE SO COMPLICATED. Jarretta, I am the wrong person to be asking about test wells! I'm a new comer to this gas business. I do know that in this area, no one else is as far along to a pad being built than we are, if that helps. I also know that companies cange their minds fast too and even this location could change, hopefully not. BJ

BJ THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE INFO. I HOPE THEY DON'T CHANGE THEIR MIND EITHER. I WISH YOUR FAMILY GOOD FORTUNE. I REALLY THINK THE GAS IS THERE AND THEY WILL EVENTUALLY DRILL FOR IT. FROM ALL THE RESEARCH I'VE DONE IT WILL HAPPEN. I GUESS WE JUST HAVE TO BE PATIENT. THAT'S KIND OF HARD TO DO WHEN YOU ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT ALL OF THIS.
