All quiet on the western front.
Thanks Dr. H! Hopefully the more derisking of ours and those nearby will help.
Ok, I'm not good at maneuvering on the new sonris website. I have found a well permitted and already started in Rapides Parish-section 1, township 1S, Range 2W-Masters Creek. WX RA SUA Crowell etal. depth on permit was 10,800' #255429 There was actually another permit issued to increase the depth, however I can't locate that again. I thought this was interesting. Any information on this?
Recently spud. A Wilcox vertical well.

Just FYI
I followed the GIS link within the new platform and it puts the well coordinates in Bossier Parish close to the AR-LA state line. I assume the system was given incorrect coordinates.

Thanks, bes. Wrong coordinates or a entry typo. Much going on with SONRIS data. I think our patience will be ultimately rewarded but any member who finds a problem should report it to the staff. They have always been appreciative and prompt to make corrections.
Is Wilcox zone the new targeted zone for this area?
Wilcox wells are common in Rapides, Vernon and Beauregard parishes. At least those are the parishes that come to mind when I think of productive Wilcox areas. There may be other central Louisiana parishes with Wilcox production. The formation has been known and explored for decades. The Wilcox is too shallow in northwest Louisiana. It outcrops a few miles from where I live.
