deltic stock is going nuts i guess because they have such a huge

mineral interest in the brown dense area and the leasing companies

are still going full bore so i would conclude that the well is a smoker.

anyone else have any insight?

Any updates on this?
There is still no rig assigned to this well as of last Friday.
Vision Exploration has a nice summary written about the potential of the brown dense, it can be viewed at their website... very informative...

jeff -- where do you find this in their website?

thanks, treeman

Thanks tony,

Very interesting. Let's hope that this is the next big play in North Louisiana.

So far this play has done nothing but harm the small operators, wildcattters and royalty owners.
Harmed?

Absolutly.

There are big players tying up vast tracts of land with 4 year leases with 4 year kickers.

This is causing many prospects to go undrilled, because smaller operators and wildcatters can't get the acerage blocks we need. We would have drilled two to three wells in south AR this year, but were unable to get enough land leased. the big players, whose leasing agents include Triad and Pinebelt refuse to do any farmouts (that I know of). This in turn hurts the Royalty owners, by preventing them from having any production in the near term. It also ties up vast tracts of land for such a long period, that the mineral owners are essentially denying themselves the opportunity to lease later if this mythical play turns out to have any merit.

Who are the big players?

EOG has assigned a large number of leases from Atlanta Exploration and Border to Pinebelt so it looks like they are out of the game.

Southwestern Energy has built a natural gas refueling station outside Damascus Arkansas.

Where, may I ask, were all these “smaller operators” and “wildcatters” 12 months ago before the “big boys” moved in?

Anyone know who bought Jag/Sequel/RLI?

I was told Jag hit 4 out of 4 (oil) in Arkana and moved rig to Springhill, around old packing plant looking for bounderies.
