a family member has land in Union County, AR. Recently approached for an O&G lease that was very, very modest. Anyone else in Union County aware of this activity, any info on the Ten Mile Projec is appreciated.

Steve, this is a duplicate post on the Main Page, Shale Related Topics. The discussion needs to be in the Union County Group. I would expect any lease offered currently in Union County to be modest considering there is nothing other than the traditional shallow oil interest.
well, $125/ac is pretty darn modest.
And quite possibly appropriate depending on what you are leasing. The days of "all depth" leases should be over for any savvy mineral manager. Personally I would consider accepting a lease at that bonus per acre for shallow rights as long as the other lease terms were acceptable.
