If the organizers would like someone there to talk about the income tax, social security, medicare ramifications please email me at kathmorgan@bellsouth.net I have almost 20 yrs tax experience and work for H&R Block. I feel like we (Bossier, north) have a lot of catching up to do! I was speaking to a friend today that is in a Haughton coalition that is huge. They are really ahead of us - at least collectively - on understanding, organizing & even retaining legal expertise. Apparently after doing some research, a strong & cohesive group effort is vital to a satisfactory result in all this!!

Tuscaloosa Trend Sits On Top Of Poorest Neighbourhood For Decades - Yet No Royalties Ever Paid To The Community -- Why??

In researching the decades-old Tuscaloosa Trend and the immense wealth it has generated for many, I find it deeply troubling that this resource-rich formation runs directly beneath one of the poorest communities in North Baton Rouge—near Southern University, Louisiana—yet neither the university ( that I am aware of)  nor local residents appear to have received any compensation for the minerals extracted from their land.

This area has suffered immense environmental degradation…
