I have property in Jackson Parish. Seismic was done around 2 years ago, I think. Would they need to redo seismic in order to look for Haynesville Shale, or would this information be recorded on the previous seismic results?

There are different types of seismic's. They may have done a 2D and now want to do a 3D. I don't think they would do the same test. It is what it is.
Good to know. One more question (sorry, but I really am clueless), will I be contacted if they decide to do say a 3D seismic, or can they go ahead and do it without me knowing since they paid 2 years ago to do seismic?
Maybe. It depends on the type of seismic, the shot points and the processing. Remember, in Louisiana, if seismic is shot without written consent of the landowner, the company responsible can get itself into a serious mess.
