GHS *County & Parish groups are now open for promotion.

We are making some changes to our non-solicitation rules on GHS. Since its launch, GHS has remained free from solicitation. We are making a slight modification to this practice. Beginning November 5th, 2013, the no-solicitation rule is lifted in the county groups; members are now able to freely promote in the county groups without concerns of violating the GHS' solicitation policy. The reason for the change is that it has become evident there is a need for a place where members can promote their minerals or services. The ideal location for this is in the county groups.

Summary

Promotion CAN take place in the County & Parish Groups (indicated with "County" in its title)

Promotion CANNOT take place in the Home Page Forum or any group that DOES NOT contain "COUNTY" or "PARISH" in its title.

I guess San Saba Royalty doesn't understand county/parish group page.

eastex2000 certainly hasn't read the site rules regarding spamming.   And I doubt many members appreciate his/her multiple discussions knocking legitimate discussions off the Main Page.  Poor form all around.

Makes them look & sound a bit like Cobra. Folks beware.

Clarification, if this helps, We have 2 discussion areas. 1) The Main Page forum (the one this discussion is in) and the 2) Groups (which is where we start the county groups. The groups can be accessed under the "States" tab or to the right under the "Groups Latest Activity." So any group title that has County" or "Parish" in the title can be used for promotion. That differs from a couple groups such as (LA) Tuscaloosa Marine Shale. However a group like Holmes County, MS with "County" in the title can be used to promote.

Keith, recently I received a notification of a new discussion to find it was an ad for land surveying services, which was a waste of time. Now I am reluctant to open any links to discussions. I think your change in policy regarding solicitations lessens the value of GoHaynesvilleShale.com.

For all your Land Surveying needs: boundary, topographic, routes, easements,                                                     as-builts, construction staking, loan surveys, GPS surveys, deed research, contact                                     Collins Surveying & Mapping @ 903-796-8227 for a free estimate.

I appreciate your feedback.

I don't like the new promotional way GHS is going. Bryan Brennion has pushed everything that I am interested in to the bottom or off the board with  his promotion of a surveying firm. I don't like to go looking through all the Parish and Counties to find out what was posted the first thing this morning.
