My grandparent is deceased, and my mom would have been her heir but she is deceased too. I am the executor of my mother's estate.
Is it possible for an Estate of my mother to collect royalty payments? Will the operating company cut a check to the Estate of Diane Boone, for example?

I also think the answer to your question is yes. Whoever is paying your Royalty needs to be notified of the Death. They will probably suspend payments until they get certain information (probably including a copy of the Will, if there was one, heirship information, etc) and a Tax ID Number for the Estate.
