El Paso's Southwest Louisiana Wilcox Oil Play (10/1/11)

El Paso provided a recent update regarding their Wilcox Oil Play centered in Beauregard Parish Louisiana.  The targeted formation is a traditional sandstone rather than shale or limestone.

Halcon and midstates ace active in allen and Beauregard parishes for Wilcox as well.

Im new to this but I live in Beauregard in the Oretta area, 1 mile north of Oretta right off hwy 27. Seismic done last fall. A rep said we were in a very very favorable area and someone would be around to sign a lease in the spring. I know it is stiil spring, just wondering how much value I should put in what he said. Any thoughts. Thank you
