We got our paperwork today to fill out to send back to Exco telling them how much they owe us for back royalties in the BK. Anyone else get this?

Most of my EXCO leases are the ones that they picked up from Cabot, Southwestern and Devon in the past. I keep reading through the Court Documents and it appears that they are indeed talking about last year (2017) and prior Royalty payments that we were shorted due to the improper decimal place(?)

Bill R, you said "it appears that they are indeed talking about last year (2017) and prior Royalty payments that we were shorted due to the improper decimal place(?)"

Did you see any language in there that mentions royalty payments? As for "the improper decimal place"... what do you mean by that? Are you saying that Exco had a widespread problem of incorrect decimal interests? Was there any mention of incorrect decimal place in the papers?

There are incorrect decimal interests across hundreds of Haynesville Shale, and other, drilling units.  Every GHS member needs to access a copy of their unit survey, if it is available, and calculate their own decimal interest to check against the number their operator has used to pay them.

Thanks.

People should be aware... be sure you check to see if there are additional page numbers at the very bottom and click to view more pages, if so; my Exco unit plat was, indeed, there, but on page 2.

My decimal is correct. It changed slightly at one point, probably when they did the official survey. The unit acres is a tad over 644 acres instead of a 'normal' 640 acres.

In 2016, We found that EXCO had 'misplaced' the decimal point on several of our leases with some of the family members resulting in far less Royalty payments...also had some issues with unit(s) being oversized as Hale Yayyh said.

I think we got all of ours corrected, however I am still going to fill out the paperwork on the heavy side and let their Attorney(s) bang their heads on the table and figure it out. In worse case, we will not get anything additional... best case, I get a check big enough to pay for some new fishing lures.

In explanation of the last post - On a couple of our wells back in 2016, EXCO had misplaced the position of the decimal point,.. paying out far less on it due to it reading 0.000064 instead of the actual 0.00064 for the payout... not a huge share of the well by any means, however for me, it is the difference between getting to buy a GLoomis fishing rod instead of a Berkley rod.
