Expropriation of your minerals in the name of national security.

Please say it a so! That there is to be an organized effort to form a "Federal Energy Reserve Board" similar to the Federal Reserve System,to expropriate through paying a pentance for our minerals in the name of national security and seizing control of our natural resources. This is what is being proposed by John Hofmeister, former president of Shell Oil and CEO of Citizens for Affordable Energy. I would so like for others that are well informed on this site, to give an opinion.

JHH- yes is is "romanesque". they need to watch "Mad Money" on CNBC. We need Jim Cramer to make energy policies for the country.

I wouldn't say that Obama will begin seizing mineral rights tomorrow but I would caution everyone to be careful about taking any of our rights for granted.

Look, if someone has a problem with the Obama administration, that is their issue - they are entitled to their opinion. I just don't like being completely misled and tricked into opening a thread about the nationalization of mineral interests - something everyone here would have a problem with - and discovering that the supporting documentation has nothing to do with said topic. When it comes to politics these days, people seem to feel like it's alright to lie and deceive as long as you can convince others to agree with you. That's wrong, I don't care which side of the aisle you stand on.

I don't think lying and deception was originated by the Obama administration but they have taken it to a new level.
