The Franks 17 has come in at a dissappointing 2208MCFD 25bls 61G condensate 170bls water. Things aren't looking too bright on the northern end of the play. Flowing pressure of 1800#

I am working on getting one of these logs, thats all I can say but hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.
Do you think there is less gas in place, or it just won't flow like the southern portion of the play because of the porosity issues?
Can you get a good look at the Bossier on those logs?
Jay,
Do you have any ideas on what depositional factors may have contributed to the thicker intervals and lower porosity in this end of the play?
Is it possible that because is it shallower, and therefore less weight on top the zone is less compacted? Leading to lower pressures?
Hey GB, the first lesson a plumber learns is that water runs downhill.
If I remember correctly the Goldco IP'ed at 1 million vertical? If that is the case and a several thousand foot lateral only gets you 2-2.5X returns vertical might be the play on the northern end.
I just left the Hall#5 it doesn't have meter on it yet. But my contact at Matador told me all the wells will do well. I have seen the E & L Developmet Sit 5,000lbs. Matador Will start drilling again when gas goes to 6.5. But you are right about the vertical north of town. They Know something, they just paid me 4000acre. Not bad for north of town.
Joe are you saying the shut in casing pressure on the Hall 5 is 5000 psi? I was told by a reliable source that the Hall 5 had been making about 2+million cu ft/day. Is that what you've heard, Joe?
Where is this well located?
They are located Northeast of Blanchard
which township and range?
