Land Ownership

Hello,

Can anyone tell me where I can find out if the Land I inherited is Owned or Leased? I have tried asking both Rusk & Panola Counties but they have no records of said tracts? Is there somewhere else I could try? Also being in the U.K. things are very different over here. Where would a Landsman get their Information from?

jffree1 has a good deal of expertise with such issues and is known to be quite honest and helpful.
