Lest We Forget! Dem's Desire "Socialized" Energy Sector

Hmmm... wonder if royalty owners mineral rights would be absorbed via "Emminent Domain"?

Wonder if Maxine Waters will renew her desires once gasonline prices start rising?

Hi JA:

Tisk, tisk, tisk. Why do you want to call names??

Obviously, all Robert was doing was using The Times as a generic for the entire mainstream media. You know, the same feckless folks that were so incurious as to the Bamster's past, present and probable future.

Let's keep it civil..:-)

Best,

Jay
Jay, lets keep it as simple as sharpening a knife, I have watched people pass a knife back and forth across a wet stone for a half hour. One side then the other. The knife wasn't dull when they started. If one was to look at the edge under a microscope they would see that the very edge is thinner than just about anything, making it very flexable. The least bit of disturbance can cause that very thin edge to shift to leaning in either direction causing it to appear dull. One or two passes across the stone or razor strap lines both edges back straight again. If one would use the technique of sharpening a knife at three strokes to the left and one stroke to the right, then the blade would become unbalenced in a couple of passes. This unbalance has been going on between democrats and republicans for years. I think it is time to buy a new knife.
Couldn't agree more. It's time to elect a conservative again. Haven't had one since RR
JA:

I think this is "The Times" that Robert was referring to.

In the case of newspapers like the liberal SF Chronicle, like so many of the MSM newspapers, are dying. Is "point of view?"part of the problem?

Buck:

This pretty well nails it.

Where was Chris Dodd?

JM
Since Jim lives in Texas, I would doubt that he reads the Shreveport Times at all, probably the New York Times.
Another victim of lax oversight by our leaders.

First, if the Democratic political agenda is "socialist" why then is not the Republican economic agenda "Fascist"?
After all, it is the most outrageously pro business stance ever seen in American history. Many classic governmental functions, such as IRS collections, military support functions -- previously performed by the military? There have been cases of more than one military contracting company refusing to do it's duty (running a truck supply mission, for example) because the company claimed it was too dangerous? Excuse me? Would you like to meet Mr. 50 cal. Machine Gun up close and personal? How about all the sole source contracts that they granted? How about the wretched construction done by Brown and Root of living quarters in Iraq? -- there seems to have been a fair number of soldiers electrocuted while showering.... due to bad electrical wiring. And on and on. And no Republican initiative to provide congressional oversight.

Also, the Republican congress refused to make any effort to pay for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. It is a little late for them to get religion about deficit spending. Did you know that Harry Truman had a balanced budget during the Korean war?

The original post for this discussion is troll bait. Me, I just had to chime in.

Get serious folks. Our country is on track to have the nastiest recession since the Depression. We still don't know how many of our banks and other financial corporations are balance sheet zombies (undercapitalized). Look for more rescues or nationalizations by June. Remember, the conservatives called FDR "Comrade Franklin" during the thirties. They should consider him a saint because he saved capitalism.
Upon what basis do you label Republicans facists? You mean like in Hitler type Nazi facists? Soulds like liberal name calling to me.

Excuse me, but who was the bigger pozi scheme perp, was it Bernie Madoff or was it Franklin D. Roosevelt?

Let me see. Madoff ripped off a few hundred folks for $65 billion. Social Security is on track to bankrupt our country by, what, 2040?

Roosevelt was AWFUL. LBJ was AWFUL. Obama's teleprompter is AWFUL.

If we had the money back that these clowns wasted this would be a much better place. IMHO..:-)
Hey -- look what happens when the name calling goes the other way? FDR was awful? LBJ was awful? Hey you want awful? Try Nixon, Regan, and G.W. Bush.
Jack Blake said all those politicians are a-holes be they republican or be they democrat. Jack Blake would not piss on any of em if they were on fire!
We're all Haynesville brothers and sisters.
Come on people now smile on your brother try to love one another right now sang Jack Blake!
