A presention by EnCana on March 16th, 2010 identified a Haynesville Shale well in Red River Parish that had a peak production rate of 37 MMcfd and was completed with 20 frac stages. This is still the highest rate of any well to date in the play.

Additional information recently posted on Sonris confirmed the George Lormand 4 #H1 Well in the Red River-Bull Bayou Field was completed with 20 frac stages. The posted production information for January/February also corresponds with the EnCana presentation. Thru April the well has produced ~ 1.7 Bcf of gas in less than 100 days. Although the "official" test rate was only 28.8 MMcfd, the well rate was still increasing as shown by the attached EnCana chart.

EnCana, George Lormand 4 #H1 Well, Serial #239966, S4-T13N-R11W, Red River Parish, 28751 Mcfd, 29/64" Choke, 8519 psi Flowing Pressure

Jack Blake says the Matthew Murray #21 in T10N R11W. It had an IP of 31.7 mmcf/d on a 14/64" ck with 9152# flowing pressure. The peak rate was 38.1 mmcf/d on a 17/64.
Jack Blakes first monthly royalty check was for $39,237.83!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok - this is not true, but Jack Blake would sure like it if it was.
Last Jack saw when he drove by the well site last week was they were still doing the frac.
Jack, I am pulling for you. What - no 10,000 BOPD well???
come on... I'm pulling for 40mmcf/d.
On a 6/64 choke. Well, might as well wish.
W. R. Frank.............Two off the top of my head are: 1) Ninock 34 in 15/11, Section 34 produced approx. 1.843 billion cu ft in it's 1st 100 days. 2) the Sample 32 in 15/11 Section 32 (though the surface location is in 14/11, Section 5) produced approx. 1.870 billion cu ft in it's 1st 100 days. I'm sure there are others. Please understand, I'm not taking anything away from the Lormand well........it is a monster!
Thanks. I think 13N, 14N and 15N, 11W are the center of the core!
